Built in 1836 by Nicholas Long, the inn originally served as a tavern and hotel, providing lodging, meals, and a warm welcome to travelers passing through the area. Situated on the northeast corner of St. Joseph Road and St. Wendel Road, the inn quickly became a popular gathering spot for locals, offering a place to share stories, enjoy a meal, and celebrate special occasions.
